Thelma & Louise?

It was so great to see some of my nieces over Thanksgiving!! They were so funny with their little car. They would stomp on the gas, look at each other (instead of where they were going) and scream until they hit something. They hit the house, the porch, the fence and every tree in the yard, but they had a great time!

Forever 21

Today I have been 21 for 20 years!! I am posting this as a reminder of something my Mom always says, "Age is an attitude, you are as old or as young as you want to be!" I also only get three candles on my cake - one for the past, present and future (otherwise there would be a small bon fire in the center of my cake). We stopped putting the correct number of candles on the cake when one box of birthday candles wasn't enough.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am thankful that we get to spend Thanksgiving with some of our family this year. I am also very thankful that my husband is home this year and not deployed. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Where have all the elves gone??

I was supposed to have some help getting out orders tonight. Since it was 7:00pm I figured no one would be asleep and I would have plenty of help. When none of the elves showed up I went looking for them. This is what I found:

Trash Picker

Another picture of my husband picking up someone else's trash. He is really good at picking up junk and then making something out of it. I will post a picture next week of whatever he makes out of it.

pterodactyl nest??

Bailey is known for taking blankets off of everything and making "nests" for himself. He really outdid himself this time. This huge and heavy blanket was folded at the bottom of the bed. We figured that he must have spent at least an hour pulling and molding it into a nest. Because he worked so hard on it we decided to leave it on the bed that way.

I posted some pictures a few months ago of the car my husband is building for me (I am pretty sure it is for him, but if he says it is for me he thinks he will get a bigger car budget). He just finished the brakes on the car (I am sure Bailey was a big help!).

Frozen Veggies.....YUCK!!!

I usually don't buy too much frozen food because it is usually gross. I bought this bag of vegetables because they looked so good (I never learn). I kept looking at them after they were cooked and trying to figure out what they reminded of......you know when your garbage disposal gets clogged and backs up and then drains, well the vegetables remind me of what is at the bottom of a garbage disposal!!

Lunch with Friends!

I met with some wonderful Kansas City Bloggers on Saturday for lunch. It was so much fun meeting everyone and we had such a great time!! I was really mad at myself for forgetting my camera. "Confessions of a Control Freak" did a much better job of posting AND she took pictures!! I didn't get a picture of the cupcakes after I got home because we ate them for dinner before I could even think about taking a picture!!

Men are the same everywhere!!

There are lots of international officers that are here for a year to go through a course at Fort Leavenworth (Kansas). We went to the international dinner this weekend. Everyone had to prepare and bring a main dish and a dessert that represented their country. There were over 100 beautiful and elaborate dishes!! Of course you could easily spot the dishes that were brought by the single men. Here are a few of my favorities:

Norway: Cinnamon Rolls; at least the guy gave "Price Chopper" full credit (our local grocery store)


Bulgaria: Little Caesars Pizza (a Geo bachelor is a soldier that is married, but stationed somewhere without his wife or family)


And the best one of the night is the chicken from Afghanistan that is marked as "pork".
