My husband gave me an earlier Christmas present for my workshop! He found a Soundesign Trendsetter 1000 in mint condition (everything works, including the 8-track player). For those of you who grew up in the 70's like me, you probably listened to 8-tracks and vinyl records (I admit it....I used to sing along to Donny & Marie Osmond). If you have never heard of 8-tracks you are probably much younger than I am. The amazing thing is that the Trendsetter sounds better than any other stereo or CD player we own.
Here is a picture of the top of the Trendsetter.....notice the nice wood grain veneer, just like they put on the original Atari games (we have one of those too).

AND NOW FOR THE BEST PART.......It has a light show in the bottom!! All that is missing is the disco ball and an orange shag rug! Who needs cabinet storage for 8-track tapes and records when you can have a light show instead!
I hope everyone has a groovy Christmas!!!

Those lights on the bottom are awesome. I know my BIL would be all over something like that.
I have one that I have had since I was a kid. I love it. How much did he pay for it?
