I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

23 years!!
Today was our first date 23 years ago! I met my husband through my twin brother. I was visiting my brother at college and had brought him a bunch of chocolate chip cookies that I made. I met Brian that weekend and on the way home I stopped by the grocery store and picked up more cookie supplies. I was actually dating someone else at the time, but I swung by his house on the way home from the grocery store and dumped him (I didn't think...I just did it). I then went home, baked a bunch more cookies, and mailed them to Brian....and we have been together ever since! It really is true "The way to a man's heart is through is stomach"!!!

My first meal that I cooked when my hubby and I were married 27+ yrs ago was green pepper steak and rice. He ate it all... it wasnt until maybe a few years ago, that I found out that he really doesnt care for cooked bell peppers! haha (probably a great thing that I hardly made that over all those years!)
