I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

Crying Wolf

We found a stray dog in our yard, a beautiful friendly husky. We drove around with her until we found the owners. We found out that the dog had also gotten out last week and one of the neighbors called the police and the owner's were fined. The neighbor that called the police told them that there was a wolf in her yard. Granted, a husky does look a lot like a wolf, but as it turned out the neighbor that called the police knew that it was a husky and knew whose dog it was. What a jerk!!

Wouldn't it be great if we could call the pound and have them pick up rotten people!

I completely agree with you. Why do some people go out of their way to be mean? I don't get it. Its not so hard to understand that some dogs always find a way to get out. My dog Dixie has a tendency to run out the front door when she has a chance. She doesn't do it so much now, after almost three years of living with us. But for the first year she managed to escape several times. At one point she got in my next door neighbor's driveway. But my neighbor was kind enough to entertain her so we could catch her. That's what good neighbors do for each other.

I totally agree! Our dog Blake used to run away all the time when we first rescued him, and I was always so thankful for the nice people that found him and called!

What a great idea! Maybe "mean-spirited" people would think twice if they could end up in the "Jerk Pound".

People can be so rotten! Our old neighboors (cat owners) tried to feed our dog antifreeze, because he was always barking at the cats in their window. When he got extremly sick and we took him to the vet. We found out why he was getting sick. Antifreeze! It could have killed him! I took the vet bill over to their house and, knocked on their door. They pretended like they had "No Idea how he could have gotten antifreeze. I found an empty tupperware dish in our yard too, which I returned to them" They don't live nextdoor anymore. But, I sure would have liked to take them to the pound!

How kind of you to make sure the dog got back to its owners safely.

What a fabulous idea! I can think of a few people I'd like to call about.

haha! I cannot believe that the neighbor did that, some people are just bitter! I hope the owners put a collar on her/him though so people know who the dog belongs to.
