I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

One way we can all do our part is take shorter showers and recycle!
You could use recycled materials in the making of your jewelry, and use recycled fabrics. You could re-purpose some items and incorporate them into your items, rather than throw them away. Just the fact that you offer reusable bags is a great thing!

Well to star off with, your adorable bag is perfect for groceries, shopping, or transporting just about anything while out and about instead of using the plastic or paper bags in stores. You can also recycle FOOD by starting a compose heap in your backyard. Instead of throwing old food in the trash, throw it in the compost heap. You can use it to fertilize your garden. :) The bag is super cute and LOVE the pink straps! :)
We are, okay I, am making sure that the lights are off when we are not in the room; the water doesn't run more than it should; and we are also using the reusable bags more and more. If everyone does it just once imagine how much better the earth would be?
I would love to win! We have to divide our trash up here in Germany into like 6 different trash cans! This bag could help with the glass recycling!!
One of the easiest ways to be "greener" is to eat less meat! Taking it out of your diet just once a week makes a huge impact on reducing fossil fuel use!
We recycle aluminum cans & we go through a lot of them in our house!!
Use web-based invoices for your business instead of sending a paper one in the packaging, and use recycled cardboard boxes for shipping! Just the fact that you want to have a more environmentally conscience business means you've already started!
I would say cut down on shipping products and keep things streamlined and simple. It is always nice to add tissue paper or fancy stuff to business items but the fact of the matter is, if your product is great, it speaks for itself and you don't need the fancy additives that waste paper and other products as well as money! :) Use a return address stamp instead of labels, and keep things simple and neat! :) I would love to win! :)
what a great and (cute) bag!!! For us we always always use our "green" bags for shopping - no plastic!!! We have stopped buying plastic water bottles and we all have SIG bottles. WE are big on REDCUE, REUSE, RECYLE!!!! It absolutely frustates the heck out out of me that in my 20 home community on Wednesday mornings (trash/recycle) day I don't see a big blue bin outside everyones home but do see garbage bins :(
What a cute bag! Going "green" at an office isn't as easy as at home, or at least in my office. I do small things though -- Staples will give you $3 in Staples rewards for every empty ink you take in -- and they recycle it. Also I use all the "spare" paper (like misprints and just stuff I don't need anymore) instead of note pads. Every little bit helps :)
Even a small business has to have paper to recycle, right? Try shredding it instead of sending it to a processing plant, and use it along with all of your kitchen scraps to make a compost pile.
Cute bag! A way we have started recycling more at our house is to pass down outgrown clothes to friends and family... also shop more consignment rather than buying new.
Awesome bag, love it!!!
I make sure I only buy the "new" lightbulbs that last like a full year or so before burning out! (Not like the old ones that last a month or two right?)
And we also are trying to use friendly "green" cleaning products or make our own homemade from like vinegar and water.
And of course recycle everything!! :)
Such a cute bag!! I'm going green by using reusable bags and I'm happy to say our recycle bin is much fuller than the garbage bin!
I completely agree with Daniella, go for all three R's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Unforunatly most people focus on recycling and ignore the other two, but IMHO I think they have a greater impact that recycling. Remember that recycling still needs energy to move the product, machines to crush, chemicals to clean, etc.
So some ideas: reduce food waste, remember everything you throw out is wasted money and resources, so freeze food if you think you overcooked, or agree to alternate coking with a friend or neighbor so nothing goes to waste. reuse, so here is where people have to get creative, for your personal situation I would suggest re-purposing materials in the making of your products. For example use some unwanted fabrics or incorporate items in the home into a beautiful creation, which I'm sure would be spectacular coming from you!
P.S - great giveway!
We have a great recycling program in our town...I buy items in the biggest container I can. Instead of little bottles of apple juice or yogurt, we buy big containers. We have our own water bottles.
I love the bag. Thanks for the opportunity to win one.
If you need to pad a box for shipping, use the new compostable packing peanuts that disolve in water instead of styrofoam peanuts!
Well, first of all the bag is in and of itself a way to go green-- you can use it to bag groceries, carry books, everything! What I do to stay green is reuse shipping and packing supplies, which actually lowers my cost, too! I also turn off the air when I'm not at home.
I love this bag. I would be eternally grateful to win!
We just moved to a new house where water takes FOREVER to heat up. We make sure that we capture all the cold water in the tub first and then let the hot water warm it to the proper temp. (For the first 2 days, we let the water run until it warmed and then put in the stopper. I know, we're morons.) Combined with recycling and being conservative with electricity, I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. If only I had a reusable bag...
I love the bag and think it is a great idea! I have not seen them on your website yet, so I would say sale them to help ALL of us recycle more! They are so easy to use and toss in your car, you just never know when you may need one. They can be used for shopping, groceries, diaper bag, sports stuff, etc. There are many cute ways to use them. Thanks!!
What a cute bag! We've been making the transition to energy saving light bulbs as ours go out. Just a small step, but you gotta start somewhere! This bag would also help us go a little greener!
No more bottled wated for us! We each have one plastic reusable water bottle that we use instead of buying all those disposable plactic water bottles over and over. Saves money, too! :)
First the bag is adorable. As a business owners we know how important it is to recycle, re-use, and reduce products. We give you AAA for going green! Alan and Adriana - MelMar Soap Hut

We always recycle our food and throw it in a compost pile. There is a tree growing there now. :)
I love this bag and have many uses for it! :)
