I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

Is it wrong to serve cake for dinner??

I checked the frig and I have a cake (from the neighbor) and a tupperware container of something I can't seem to identify! I really was going to go grocery shopping today, but then the mailman showed up with some packages. I bought a pendant kit on Etsy and it came in the mail today so I got distracted.....again!! If you like making new things check out this Etsy store Sun and Moon Craft Kits. She has some great ideas and starter kits. Those of you who know me know that I will not be able to sleep tonight until I make ALL of the pendants in the kit. I promise I will go grocery shopping tomorrow (at least that is what I keep telling myself). Don't be afraid to get your Craft on........ even it means serving cake for dinner! My husband always says that if we could just eat craft supplies for dinner we would have enough food for three years.

I know what you mean... I've gotten used to my empty nest and cooking for 2 or sometimes 1 when hubs is traveling. Tonight is a leftover night for 1 so... maybe tomorrow I'll go to Publix :-)

Cake is okay for din, as long as you serve it with milk and an apple.

Swear it.

oh my - you are like my new favorite person - cake for dinner? Now I know I am not crazy if you too (and others) agree that it works in a pinch! (lol MrsB) so I am guessing black forest cake is ok with milk since it has cherries!?

Nothing wrong with eating cake for dinner!! LOL I hate shopping too because I have to take my 4 yr old with me and we always end up getting way more than we intended! Before I knew it I had spent $250 at Walmart today!! YIKES! Enjoy your crafts, I'll have to look at her site! :)
