I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

Driving Mrs. Daisy

We are leaving Colorado and driving back home today. My husband always does most of the driving which is great because I catch up on a lot of reading that way. He likes to tell people that he is "Driving Mrs. Daisy" and that he always has to do all the driving, but the truth is that he can't stand to be a passenger....ever!

It must be a "man" thing as my husband also enjoys the driving.

I would take him driving...more sleeping for me!

And, make sure he calls you "yes ma'am!"

I love the Driving Miss Daisy thing... except in my case, I named my car Daisy because she is so girly that I just love driving Miss Daisy, my Jetta.

My hubby's the same! (It may be cuz I end up falling asleep...I do give the token..."are you doing alright?")

He even had a hard time letting me drive back from Atlanta after his heart surgery to repair a valve!

he says he likes knowing that he can determine what, when and where... like when he few helicopters in the Army.

Very cute! We share the driving, because I can't read in the car, I get motion sickness, isn't that horrible? So I do a lot of driving!
