I have always been passionate about designing and making meaningful gifts and keepsakes and was very fortunate to able to start my own business. Lauren Nicole Gifts (name after my niece) was started in 2004 and was a great way for me to have my own business, but still move around as an Army wife. My husband recently retired from the Army and we are now permanently located in Ouray, Colorado

My Favorite Shops

Gemstone Jewelry: My sister-in-law makes beautiful gemstone jewelry. She now has an Etsy shop, KarynStyle. The shop is full of her original designs. I have several of her pieces and she does amazing work!

Blog Design: Krystyn at Krizzy Designs does amazing work. She designed my blog layout and created the tabs, the columns, and boxes around everything. She is great to work with!!

Personalized Stationery:
A Touch of Whimsy sells unique personalized stationery. I have ordered their personalized note cards several times and they are absolutely beautiful. The customer service is amazing!!

Cookies and Cupcakes: Laura and Dave at A Dozen Eggs make the best cookies! I ordered some and had them shipped to my Mom and she loved them!

Preppy Goods: The Preppy Princess has a great selection of unique preppy gifts. I love the jewelry (I hope my husband is reading this because I really love the Bay Harbor Circle Ring). I especially like that when you purchase something from The Preppy Princess you can choose to donate a portion of the proceeds of the sale to either "Dogs for the Deaf" or the "Fisher House" (the Fisher House helps military families in need and especially helps when soldiers are injured. My husband is in the Army so we really appreciate this organization and know so many people that have benefited from it).

I will add more to this section soon

Wholesale

The Beaded Zebra

I sell a few of my hand made jewelry pieces wholesale on my wholesale jewelry website "The Beaded Zebra". Once your application is approved you will be given coupon codes to use on the website. The wholesale jewelry program is designed for drop-shipping, store inventory and home shows. Click here to view more information on the program and to go to the link for the wholesale application.

HOME SHOWS:

I am just starting to put together a program for jewelry home shows. Please let me know if you are interested in selling personalized jewelry. The wholesale jewelry pieces are shown on my second website The Beaded Zebra.

I finished the website, but I am still working on order forms, price sheets, and brochures for the jewelry to make it easier to sell the pieces at a home show.

Because The Beaded Zebra is the wholesale side of the business a sales tax license is required to purchase from that website

New Products

Currently I am working on learning how to enamel silver so that some of the initials on the fine silver jewelry can be enameled in colors. Enameling is fusing powdered glass to a metal surface and then firing it to 1500 degrees, which melts and sets the powdered glass giving it a glass surface.

My husband thinks it is a really neat process, but I don't think he is too excited about having a kiln running at 1500 degrees in the work shop. Since he finally got used to my blow torches and all the other equipment I think he will adjust to the kiln soon!!

The other designs I have been working are wax seal jewelry and more personalized jewelry. I am hoping to buy some new equipment soon so that I can make even more custom molds for my silver pieces. This would allow me to make molds with an unlimited collection of designs, logos, names or initials.

About Us

All through grade school my teachers would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always said that I wanted to be a "sew-er", but I was told that I would never make any money that way. I started learning how to sew when I was five and spent years sewing and making jewelry. After high school I ended up going to cooking school and working as a chef for many years and then as an accountant for many more years. In 2004 I decided to turn my hobby into a company and started Lauren Nicole, LLC (named after my niece) and I love what I do. I have always believed you will be the happiest if you follow your dreams no matter how long it takes.

Lauren Nicole Gifts is a small family owned business. I hand make and/or monogram 100% of the products on the retail site and my husband, Brian, helps me with shipping during busy times. My sister, Jenn, hand makes all of the wholesale products and runs The Preppy Button (the wholesale website).

My husband is active-duty military (Army) so we have to shut the business down for two weeks every two years or so and move it to a new location.

Thank you for visiting my website and thank you for choosing to buy items hand made in the USA. I really appreciate your business!!
